Meet Your Photographer

Hi, I’m Isabel. I’m an animal lover, pet sitter, artist and photographer. I’ve been photographing pets when I started pet sitting across the UK in 2022. During this time, I had the chance to meet a variety of wonderful animals and develop my style of pet portraits - photographs of pets in their home environments where they are most at ease and themselves.

I love exploring playful shots of pets and capturing their unique characteristics. I care about each image feeling true to the personality of the animal and most of all, I prioritise creating an easeful and caring experience for your pet throughout the duration of the photoshoot.

I have been caring for animals since I was a child and I came to learn everything I know about working with animals during my first job in a pet shop. Over a decade later, my connection to animals and my experience in caring for them has continued to grow.

Fine Fur Photography is an expression of that love and the joy animals bring to each of our lives. I absolutely love to capture the special essence of each pet and understand what helps them feel comfortable and expressive to be in front of the camera.

I aim for each photoshoot to be a gentle and meaningful experience for both you and your pet. My approach centers your pets needs first and my photography style ranges from abstract to traditional portrait work.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Absolutely - it's one of my favourite things to photograph. Just let me know when booking so I can plan the session around both of you. There's an additional charge for owner portraits within a standard session of £85.

  • Sessions are unhurried and follow your pet's lead. Wriggling, wandering, and the occasional chaos are all welcome. The only thing I ask is that animals are on a lead or safely contained if we’re working in outdoor spaces, and that you let me know in advance about any aggression toward strangers, so we can plan accordingly.

  • Sessions run Tuesday through Sunday, subject to availability. Morning and afternoon slots tend to give the best natural light. Feel free to contact me to find a time that works for both you and your pet.

  • Up to two pets per session works well. For three or more, I'd recommend booking a full-day session to give each animal the time and attention they deserve - and to account for the beautiful unpredictability of a multi-pet household.

  • To secure your booking, a 50% deposit is required at the time of reservation. This covers the preparation and planning that goes into every session before we meet.

    If you need to cancel more than 7 days before your session, your deposit will be refunded in full. Cancellations made within 7 days of the session date will result in the deposit being retained, though I'll always try to find a solution if your circumstances change.

  • Deposits are non-refundable. If you're unhappy with your images, please get in touch within 14 days of delivery - I'll always try to find a resolution. Please note that I can't guarantee specific expressions, poses, or behaviour from animals, and refunds aren't offered on this basis alone.

  • I specialise in dogs and cats, but I'm always open to a conversation about other animals. Get in touch and we can talk through what's possible.
